Not that simple. How is a cop to know whether or not the person they are interacting with is crazy or not. It’s not like they wear a sign that says “I’m bstshit crazy” or a Napoleon hat…that would only come out after the fact. In the meantime, if a cop, or anyone for that matter, is physically attacked, they still have a right to defend themselves with whatever level of force necessary to stop the attack.
