I agree, don't stop there. But of course my end scenario is based in reality, not a comment that screams 'I'm-not-serious-about-this' like one NEEDING to use a ridiculous and never-gonna-happen extreme example to prop up an incredibly weak position.
The left of all stripes, RINOs, swampy republicans, etc., are just going to have to accept that (what, about 75% of?) the people want this to happen.
In other words, we are fed up with the administrative state / the swamp, controlling OUR MONEY and using it for things we do not approve of.
WE ARE $36.5 TRILLION$$$ IN DEBT!!!
What about that doesn't give you incredible pause for concern? Why do you not have a serious comment about how to SOLVE the problem, instead of red herring complaints about those who are solving it?
Fighting this sure looks like wanting to maintain the status quo of the administrative state / the swamp.
My reaction to an individual who holds that position is meh, whatever floats your boat. Because your opinion in no way affects me, and of course I believe in freedom 100%. But for a politician, defending this broken system, especially as more and more insane spending is revealed, will be a challenge almost everywhere that isn't deep blue.
So naturally I support the lefties who hold that position, because most of them will be gone after the midterms. They'll either be replaced by correct thinking people, or perhaps the elusive creature known as the moderate or centrist democrat.
