So I see a bunch of liberals are crying about DOGE efforts. Well just remember, all those government employees are gone & nothing has stopped working. It's almost if those positions were non-essential. | image tagged in memes, hide the pain harold, old man cup of coffee | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

it's almost as if they were scared of us learning how useless their positions were

Absolutely...and don't stop there...keep going until there is no one left. Then we can usher in the a.i governance infrastructure that has been on the agenda.

I agree, don't stop there. But of course my end scenario is based in reality, not a comment that screams 'I'm-not-serious-about-this' like one NEEDING to use a ridiculous and never-gonna-happen extreme example to prop up an incredibly weak position.

The left of all stripes, RINOs, swampy republicans, etc., are just going to have to accept that (what, about 75% of?) the people want this to happen.

In other words, we are fed up with the administrative state / the swamp, controlling OUR MONEY and using it for things we do not approve of.

WE ARE $36.5 TRILLION$$$ IN DEBT!!!

What about that doesn't give you incredible pause for concern? Why do you not have a serious comment about how to SOLVE the problem, instead of red herring complaints about those who are solving it?

Fighting this sure looks like wanting to maintain the status quo of the administrative state / the swamp.
My reaction to an individual who holds that position is meh, whatever floats your boat. Because your opinion in no way affects me, and of course I believe in freedom 100%. But for a politician, defending this broken system, especially as more and more insane spending is revealed, will be a challenge almost everywhere that isn't deep blue.

So naturally I support the lefties who hold that position, because most of them will be gone after the midterms. They'll either be replaced by correct thinking people, or perhaps the elusive creature known as the moderate or centrist democrat.

Explain "ridiculous and never-gonna-happen extreme example to prop up an incredibly weak position."

I think he's refering to the "A.I. Governance Infrastructure". Believing that's a (current) possibility would be a conspiracy theory because (unless we're being lied to) A.I. is not at a level capabilty yet.

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in the United States is not only a possibility but is actively being pursued through significant investments and strategic initiatives as we speak.

He simply refuses to acknowledge the issue because it does not and will not align politically correct with the movement.

That's because they had to re-hire them. Well, for the services that impact citizens. For the people around the world who depended in USAID for food...well... they're gonna die.

It's a shame there isn't tons of other countries on the planet earth that can help with that.

Yes, China is waiting for an opportunity to move in on all those now former trading partners to offer them a better deal AND a lot of free rice.

So I guess you're wrong about those people dying. They will have rice.

So rice will magically appear in their houses? Or will it take time to organize a deal? Then ship the rice to the country? Then make sure that rice gets distributed across the country to those that need it?

That will all happen instantly?

Or will it take time and people will die?

It's not called Minute Rice for no reason. It's fast

I find it odd that in all of these examples of insane spending, not just USAID, the act of preventing the utter waste of tax payer dollars is always viewed end of the world type crisis by those with the most to lose when the money dries up.

For a party that hates its own country, it's hard to accept that they suddenly (as in since DOGE) believe our country does so much good. It's *almost* as if their protestations are politically motivated, one could even say butt-covering motivated, *almost* acts of desperate self preservation... but NOT humanitarian motivated.

I have a question for you that I'd like you to take seriously; why is spending money on providing human beings with food, shelter, and medical care a waste of money?

Because it seems that a lot of the programs that Elon is ending have to do with those three things. Yet, things like oil subsidies and all the other corporate wellfare programs remain untouched.
