I think people like Elon Musk who makes roughly $55 million per day are going too far.

To put that in perspective, if someone was making $100,000 per year, they would have to work for 550 years to make what he makes in a day. (16,000+ years to make what he makes in a month)

I don't think governmental redistribution of wealth would work, but I think people who are that rich while others are suffering (for example: 30,000 homeless veterans in the US), have a moral obligation to help others.

It can't be enforced, but I believe he has the potential to help a lot of people if he wants to.

Its Elon him and Trump both clown on Taylor Swift but she actually donates more to people then they do.

Musk has enough to theoretically stop world hunger for a couple years. But what does he do nothing but "throw his heart out to people" if I ever became 400 billion rich id take 10 billion for me and donate everything else

Keanu Reeves is very generous and gives millions to charities.

It's sad though that Elon can make Keanu's total net worth in a week and doesn't do what he does.

Even 10 billion is an unimaginable amount of wealth for most people, but 390 billion could do sooo much for others.

Recently he just gave $112 million of Tesla shares (why shares?) to unnamed charities.

112 million is a ton of money for most people, but he can make that back in 2 days...

I think it's mainly because we live in a society with those same people.

That brings up the question, "What is the actual goal of a society?"
Is it to make as much as you can no matter how much it hurts others?
Is it to provide for all of its citizens and make sure everyone is safe and healthy?

I think that rich people (billions) are morally obligated to help others. I don't think the government should make people give up their possessions for the sake of others, but I think being wealthy to that extent while others still have financial issues is morally wrong.
