Elon Musk has all the money in the world. He wants to go to Mars. If the US can't get its sh*t in one pile, he will never be able to go to Mars. The infrastructure must be in place to support Elon's ambition to travel to Mars.

I think civilization will survive if Elon Musk doesn't get to take his ego trip to Mars.

Think of the benefits if he goes though.

Elon Musk has saved NASA billions of dollars through efficacy and innovations. What he did was amazing. Science Fiction fans should be cheering on Elon's accomplishments.
