I am sure that one of those parroted the Party-approved line of "Tariffs don't work, and they are tools of the oppressors!" and never EVER even considered actually thinking for themselves on this -- or any other -- point of leftist political or ideological indoctrination.

As I read your reply, I recall my first day in freshman Anthropology... the 'professor' ranted on and on about Edward Teller and J. Robert Oppenheimer being evil. Even then, when I was far closer to being a liberal, it struck me as wrong. Hell, it was my parents' money going right down the drain! Back then, we knew college professors were libs, but the full lib madness hadn't materialized. Those professors then and now are real cowards to do that to incoming freshman. Luckily, I've gotten over the emotional damage... 🤣

Yes, I went to college before liberals were outright Marxist-minded leftists and before either controlled the educational system. What a difference a few decades made.
