All of those except the last homosexual one was old testament ceremonial law. And the other one is just condemning it

Should we ignore all OT laws then?

Christians tend to bring up OT laws a lot when the NT says nothing about their argument.
0 ups, 4w,

No of course not. Moral law, the ten commandments are a prime example. Ceremonial law, circumcision is also a good example. Most of those are Ceremonial laws

What counts as moral law? You can deem anything immoral if you believe god himself created morality.

If it is the OT law and customs, like sacrifices, purifying, or what we are allowed to eat, then no, those dont count. Jesus explicitly says that he is the replacement of the law.

This passage describes the great sin and wickedness that had overcome Judah at that time. But then a new king, Asa was placed on the throne. He brought israel back to god and the whole people made a covenant with god- one that if they broke, they were to be put to death for. It is not a calling to kill all non-christians.
1 up, 3w,
1 reply
The point is that they decided to kill everyone. Women at that time were not in the army so there was no reason to kill them.

It was an example of hatefulness.
0 ups, 3w,

They did not decide to kill everyone, Were To Be, meaning, that was the law at that time. ("Were"- meaning past, and "to be" meaning, should. Like how criminals are To Be incarcerated.)

What about the flood? Those people instantly died so they had no chance of "repenting"
0 ups, 3w
Two things, first, those people had a lifetime to repent and it shows how bad things had gotten, and god decided that to protect future people, he had to punish those who had sinned so much. And second, why does that matter if morality is subjective?
1 up, 3w,

I mean, the entirety of Revelation is god promising to torture anyone who doesn't believe he exists...
0 ups, 3w
The entirety of revelation is god describing the two choices we have. Either to choose god, or to choose complete separation from him and thus complete separation from all good.
1 up, 3w,
1 reply
Torturing everyone doesn't seem like separation.

In fact, it seems like direct involvement with those he hates. (those who don't believe he exists)
0 ups, 3w
I assume you mean the "Lake of fire". The lake of fire is a depiction of how horrible existence would be with no good in it at all.

How is killing everyone but a single family protecting them?

The first statement is based on Genesis 6:2
0 ups, 3w
The sons of god that are referred to are fallen angels.
God was protecting people of future generations, who would have had to suffer under the sin of the current world.
1 up, 3w,
1 reply
Nope, god sends plagues and creatures to hurt humanity as much as possible in "end times"

Those people are still on earth and revelation promises that they will be hurt.

Yes because he is showing them the mistake they are making so that will understand and run to his forgiveness.

Why were things bad? God literally let the angels he created r*pe the women on earth. Seems like it was his fault.

Why not let people have free will? Why does he need to intervene if people supposedly have "free will"?

Because it's a fake story anyway. I'm debating the morality of the character's decisions. It's like me saying the antagonist in a story about crime or whatever is a bad person. The only difference is that some people actually believe this stuff.
0 ups, 3w
So you complain that god lets people choose another path and suffer forever, but then complain that god steps in to protect people through punishment? And explain you first statement.
0 ups, 3w
No links.
When stated you did not site scripture, I wasn't asking you not to not cite it again and post some Christian blog instead.

There's no such thing as the Trinity. Not even Saul/Paul and the rest of the Roman antichrists in the New Testament said anything about it.
0 ups, 3w
Actually thats not true.
Isaiah 48:16
“Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there.” And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.

2. Matthew 3:16–17

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

5. Romans 1:7 (Paul is the author of Romans)

To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

No, its a taste of what they are choosing, so they will understand that they have made a terrible choice. At every chance, god tries to save as many as possible.

They are still angels that he created. Why would an omniscient being create things he knew would cause harm to other creations?

Because the angels also have free will. What creations specifically.

"The sons of god that are referred to are fallen angels."

By Christians.

The Sons of God are the Sons of God, hence why they're called the Sons of God.

Christians are a funny lot. The Bible explicitly refers to the Sons of God as the Sons of God, but they're not Sons of God. Some guy comes around a thousand years later, Roman pagan antichrists call him the Son of God, and he's been called that for 2,000 years since.
0 ups, 3w
I know it can get confusing but this is how it goes.

God created the angels to be with him in heaven- His "Sons" as he calls them sometimes.
Some of the angels broke off from god when Satan did. So the demons are/were sons of god.

Jesus is God. God in physical from. Jesus is also human. Fully God, Fully human. Thats why its called a trinity. God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit. All God, all separate.

Human beings.

If god is all-powerful, why would he even create angels if they were just going to r*pe people?
0 ups, 3w
But it is most likely they are in fact demons, and he would create them for the same reason he created us, to bless us and give us everything he has, but some people will reject him and others will suffer. But justice will be done, the suffering will be taken away, not just for the future, but in the past as well.
0 ups, 3w
The sons of god also could be referring to the sons of Seth, who was the son of Adam, and taking wives is the same thing as rape.

Read literally the next verse: "After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."
The 144,000 are a symbolic number of jews throughout history.

There is no Heaven or Hell in the Torah, nor any Trinity. There is no Satan. And there's no magical messiahs who are the Sons of God but the actual Sons of God aren't because, um, something.

No, there were not references to heaven in the Torah.

And no, even the Christian belief is that nobody is in heaven yet. Other than God, Angels and Jesus. Hey, 144,000 peoples are pretty big eternal banquet. It takes even God a long time to prepare for that. Creating the world is one thing, but a big party for 144,000 saved? Naah, that takes time and effort.

Trinity, Satan, Heaven and Hell, Jesus was physical and God wasn't, Holy Spirit, the Sons of God. These aren't in the Bible for a reason, although Heaven and Hell are in the New Testament which was written by Romans anyway so that doesn't count, plus Hell actually refers to a bunch of different things, none which are actually what we are led to believe hell is itself,,,
0 ups, 3w
Actually they all are in the bible. The trinity, satan, Jesus being a human and being god, the holy spirit and sons of god are found dozens of times in both halves of the book. Heaven and hell are also mentioned dozens of times in the old testament, just not in the torah. What bible have you been reading?

Everything you posted was blasphemous.

No, the Romans did not arrest Jesus because he threatened the power that the Pharisees did not even have.
He was arrested for sedition. Against the Roman Empire. Tortured. Tried. Tortured. Sentenced. Tortured. By Romans. For sedition. Against Rome.
0 ups, 3w
No actually the Roman authority found that he had committed no crime against Rome and turned him over to the people, who crucified him. Matthew 27:24

"No actually the Roman authority found that he had committed no crime against Rome and turned him over to the people, who crucified him. Matthew 27:24"

So that's why Pontius Pilate had Jesus arrested, tortured, sentenced to death, tortured, hung, tortured, and then tortured some more after he was dead?

Pilate didn't have Jesus's legs broken as was customary in order to prolong his suffering because Pharisees ordered him not to do so? Is that what INRI meant? "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum" - "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews who pissed the Pharisees off royally so sadly I was forced to do this to him?"

Matthew was written a century later by a Roman. With an overt agenda.
I can assure you, something that was not Roman was a Roman governor kow towing to some local priests in order to appease them because reasons.
0 ups, 3w
I'm not what you mean about the killing and torture, but no the roman authority did not order Jesus's death. Pilate did not submit to the pharisees, he explicitly did not.
Matthew was written by a Jewish tax collector who Jesus called to be one of his disciples.

All the laws?

Only person to ever live perfectly? Not break the law? Is that why he was arrested and executed?

Isn't that the same thing Christians said about his mother Mary?
0 ups, 3w
Some Catholics believe that, yes, but that is untrue and borderline blasphemous.

He was executed because he threatened the power of the Pharisees, or religious members who were teach false things about god and had a lot of power.

You just keep repeating the same thing as if somehow that's going to make it true.

You really don't know that Jesus was tortured by the Romans? Really? The hell you think the crown of thorns were, an apology for what the Pharisees forced them to do? An acknowledgment that Jesus's power superceded that Pontius Pilate and the Roman Empire? Really?

The Gospel of Matthew was not written by Matthew, none the gospels were written by those who they were attributed to. Like the other Gospels, it's full of contradictions, and they contradict each other. They also contradict logic, as the aforementioned notion that Pontius Pilate literally bent over backwards to kiss the butts of Pharisees.

If the Pharisees really believed Jesus was guilty of something, they would have had him stoned to death, no Pontius Pilate and crucifixion required.

Jesus - both of them - were arrested, tried, and sentenced to death for sedition. That was the charge, and that's why he was executed. Well, one of the anyways,,,
0 ups, 3w
Well Matthew was written by Matthew, and he was skilled for it, so were the other disciples, except John. It is not full of contradictions. Pilate washed his hands of Jesus's guilt, and the Jews crucified him, and he rose again three days later.
