Here's a site for biblical contradictions; https://philb61.github.io/

The bible has so many contradictions, it scares me how many adults still believe this stuff.

Another thing I find funny is how the gospels were written in the order of Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John, and they keep adding things.

Mark- Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome go to the tomb, and the stone has already been moved away, and there is ONE angel sitting inside the tomb.

Matthew- Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. The stone was not moved, but all of a sudden, an angel came down to earth and rolled the stone away. There was also an earthquake.

Luke- "The women" go to the tomb and the stone is moved away. They went inside and there were TWO angels inside the tomb.

John- Only Mary Magdelene goes to the tomb and when she gets there, the stone has already moved away. She sees NO angel and finds out Jesus is gone so she runs back to tell the disciples. John is also the only one to add the story of doubting Thomas, probably to add some sort of lesson to the readers.

To summarize;
We start with THREE women, then go with TWO, then have an UNSPECIFIED number, and then we end with only ONE woman.
We start with an already MOVED stone with ONE angel INSIDE the tomb, have an UNMOVED stone with ONE angel OUTSIDE the tomb then move, then add TWO angels INSIDE the tomb, and then end with NO angels and a story about faith.

Also, I might add that they meet Jesus when running back to the disciples in Matthew but not the others.

You can't make this stuff up. If this was such an important event, how are there so many mistakes and contradictions?

Nice!
I've been on that site before so GREAT FIND! Take a look at The Skeptics Annotated Bible as well. The site you listed (BibViz.org) is based on the SAB. I used to carry the SAB on my phone when I was forced to go to church with my ex-wife before the divorce. I had it on my Kindle Reader App on my phone and would look at the contradictions and absurdities as the preacher was telling me how this was the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative "word of god." She filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage because I couldn't force myself to believe the stories and fairytales anymore.

The resurrection is like saying someone stole my car. Upon questioning, I say it was a Mexican who walked up and stole it while I was at a gas station. My second story is that two Mexicans drove up in a pickup truck, one jumped out and stole it while I was getting fuel at a gas station. My third story is that a black guy wearing a gray hoodie with three friends stole my car while it was parked at a fast food place next door to a gas station. My fourth story is that a white woman stole my car while I was in a Walmart parking lot and she peeled out of the parking lot while laughing at me.

Which story is the truth? Are any of them true? As an investigator, what is more likely -- that all of them are true or is it more likely that all of them are false? Was there even a car stolen? You can’t say “well the central part of the story is about a stolen car.” NO. Period. The central part of the story is that none of it matches anything and is most likely fiction. And later you discover that I’d been watching a lot of movies about stolen cars and had a vision, uh, err, I mean a dream that my car had been stolen…

Yet Christian apologists say that all the stories are true, they’re just told from different viewpoints. But remember, this is supposedly THE pivotal event of human history … and the most powerful being in the universe is supposedly dictating/revealing/”inspiring” this information to four men, three of whom were supposed witnesses to this pivotal event, and they couldn’t get their stories straight? Remember, ALL these stories were written AFTER Paul had been preaching his gospel for over 20 years … were they written to prop up his visions?

Were they just "fan fiction"? That's the most likely case if you ask me.

Think of this: the children of Israel were to gather manna from heaven six days per week and a double portion on Friday because they were not allowed to “work” on the Sabbath Day ... but the Sabbath Day wasn’t instituted into law for several more chapters ... how or better yet, WHY, did they know they weren’t supposed to “work” on the Sabbath? --- as if picking up food that had fallen to the ground out of the sky is “work” … I wonder what the rule woulda been had it been money? LOL

That's a good analogy. They're usually pretty close-minded since they've been told what to think since childhood. When I was younger, I was so scared of going to hell that I didn't question anything. I guess if they continue living like that, it gets harder to get out.

Thanks! I'll check it out since my parents still make me go to church and Christian school. I probably won't be able to discuss it in class because I tried that once a while ago about how god changes and it was like everyone else vs. me. They were louder so I guess in their minds they won.

Someone said god never changes but I pointed out that if god made the flood happen but then regretted it by promising not to do it ever again, he would have changed. I had other examples but I don't remember all of them.

Ask them if God is ever surprised ...

Jeremiah 19:5-7 says that Israel offered their children to Baal and it surprised God … it never even entered his mind that they would do this. Yet God is all knowing? How could he not know this was going to happen? He said himself that he did not anticipate this … if you believe your Bible.

Exodus 33:5: For the LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you.’” This from Jeremiah 26:3: “Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.” It is the word “perhaps” that reveals that either God is deceiving or doesn’t know. "Perhaps” implies contingency. And Exodus 4:8 Then the LORD said, “If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign, they may believe the second. But if they do not believe these two signs or listen to you, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will become blood on the ground.” Tons of ambiguity.

In Isaiah 5 we find a song about a vinedresser and a vineyard, and it tells us that God expected/hoped for justice and righteousness but that’s not what happened. God was surprised. Read Jeremiah 3:6-20; Isaiah 63:8-10.

Jeremiah predict the evil king Jehoiakim of Judah would suffer an undignified and unlamented death, his body cast out beyond the city walls like a dead donkey (Jer. 22:18-19); and that he would die without any heirs (Jer. 36:30)? Instead, Jehoiakim died peacefully and his son reigned in his place (2 Kings 24:6). On the other hand, Jeremiah told the Judahite king Zedekiah that the Lord had promised him a peaceful death (Jer. 34:4-5) and counseled him to submit to Nebuchadnezzar as he would to Yahweh. But … Nebuchadnezzar didn’t get the memo. He slaughtered all of Zedekiah’s sons in front of him and then tore the Zedekiah’s eyes out, before hauling him off in chains to prison in Babylon, where he spent the rest of his miserable life (Jer. 52:10-11). That's a peaceful death?

God “sought to kill Moses” but his wife, Zipporah, stepped in and God backed off (Exod 4:24-26). You REALLY have to ask how exactly she knew that circumcising her son and putting his foreskin blood on Moses’ feet would cause God to repent. What is it with God and foreskins?

I love being able to see all of this proof for myself, but it sucks that I can't tell anyone about it because they ignore everything or get really defensive.

Another verse if find interesting is Numbers 5:11-31 which is instructions for an abortion. The woman is punished for cheating and the man gets no punishment. Their excuse is always, "god can do what he wants because he made us" or "god was just calling them home"

Also the story of Job. God makes a bet with Satan and ruins a man's life to see if he still gets praised.

Genesis 32:22-32 says, "22 That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27 The man asked him, “What is your name?” “Jacob,” he answered. 28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

I guess god isn't all-powerful either since he can be beaten by a regular man. Not to mention god also supports polygamy. If god allowed it back then, why not now? Is god also wrestling with men all night long and touching their inner thighs?🤨

Seems like there's some change going on.

120 years from that statement being made until the Flood.

(Sorry for the late response. I meant to respond earlier but forgot to do so after my notifications were cleared.)

The verse before talks about how humans were living too long after having sex with god's angels. God says that humans are mortal so they shouldn't be living as long as they were and then limits them to 120 years. If the verse was prophesying the flood, why didn't it say, "In 120 years, I will flood the earth and spare only Noah and his family"?

It sounds like god was tired of humans living so long and wanted to kill them to end the line of half-angel people and limit the new generation to 120 years. Also, I'm not sure if I believe people would live for hundreds of years and not have issues. It sounds a little unrealistic to me.
Later on in Genesis 7:6 it says, "Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came on the earth." I have a hard time believing a 500+-year-old man could build a giant boat with the capacity to hold every necessary animal to repopulate the world.

Also, Genesis 5:32 says, "After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth."

This verse is right before god told Noah to build the ark and he was at least 500 according to 5:3 but exactly 600 when god flooded the earth. That means it was a maximum of 100 years before the flood after god told Noah.

120 years away from the flood doesn't add up.

It gets better!
Psalm 90:10
New King James Version
10 The days of our lives are seventy years;
And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;
For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Let’s just chalk this up to another contradiction. God can’t make up his mind!
