Pretty much once the political Left effectively gained nearly total control of the Mainstream Media and its cable off-shoots their professional political propagandists got lazy since they could be lazy and sloppy and make any claims they wanted without negative consequences.
Except that --mysteriously to them -- their audience share ratings kept slipping downwards over the course of a decade as people began negatively reacting to their endless lies.
