It's per year when you live in a school district with a 450k+ yearly budget and only1,800 students. So you can look at your districts school budget, find out how many students are enrolled and do the math. The number is astronomical depending on the school district. Of course poor schools have less funding.

That isnt federal money, sir. You mayvhave a budget that large..but the Feds arent payiong that. I encourage you to look into your local county funding to the district.

My district in the Midwest claims about the same, but looking at the districts budget and calculating a estimate it's way more. Plus for a public funded school who profits 30k+ a year, I say a tax reduction would make sense, or free admission to games and events. They also take donations but still make students in the preforming arts pay for costumes and uniforms. What a crock of crap. .. then they say they lack funding but can buy a charter buss for the sports team. Bs

Sports funding is typically DONOR BASED! SPORTS boosters, food concesstions....local business paid for that bus.

This is also a disgusting thing because you then have teachers telling parents their student is disadvantaged, so they can apply for more federal and state funding. Outrageous. Never was the case prior to the 60s something happened in the 80.
