It isn't so much hostility as it is an attitude of "shut up already".
That and the insistence that "transwomen" are real women.
If you/they really believed that you would not insist on using the "trans" qualifier.
Do your thing without all the intentional raising of commotion and no one would pay you any attention.
But there's the rub, isn't it.
This is all about a narcissistic, attention seeking, delusional, mental illness.
If the crossdressers were pulling it off, who would know?

Everybody, because the crossdresser would announce it in their self aggrandizing virtue signaling attention seeking.
"Transwomen" are not women.
"Transmen" (whom we rarely hear of or from) are not men.
They are crossdressers at best, even if undergo body modification, take hormones, use a weird voice affectation, try to force their way into the opposite gender's restroom where they are not wanted.
You call it "hostility" because YOU are not "just letting people be who they want to be".
So I ask you, why all the heterophobic hostility?
