Well, consent is a law that is on the books and it is 18.

The law says 18 but that law was created when 18 year olds mostly acted like adults. I think it should be adjusted to when a person is fully responsible for themselves. Even if that person is 60 years old when that happens.

Any younger and there's just too many possibilities that the person regrets what they did to themselves. They need to be 100% sure and fully understand that this change will be for life. And if they are hesitant in anyway about making that commitment then they shouldn't be allowed to alter their body.

If I was dictator for a day I would much rather psychiatrists work to help a person adjust to their birth gender because gender dysphoria, like all other dysphorias are a mental illness. A man cannot be a woman just like a man cannot be someone else, like Jesus. Escape from who you are is not the solution. Acceptance and love of who you are is.

Like I said, it doesn't matter what arguments the left comes up with. These days science can be paid to produce what ever results you want. Science can and is influenced by political opinions.

I am sure that an class in advance biology would validate your opinion but if you go back 10 or 15 years ago it would not. It wouldn't say anything at all other than there are two genders.

This all started with postmodernism. Postmodernism came with the false premise that truth is relative and not absolute. Once enough people begin to buy into this concept then 2 + 2 can now equal whatever you feel like it should be. It doesn't have to be 4. It can be 83,742 if that is what you want. Because that is "your truth".

Unfortunately for the postmodernists, facts don't care about your feelings. Truth is absolute. To make truth relative is an untruth. Men and women are assigned their gender at conception. What ever idea they come up with after that is not the truth. Even if you can find a "scientist" who says it is true. And we are a nation full of "scientists" who are paid to start with the conclusion and work backwards to find the "science" to make that conclusion seem like a reality. Then the media comes along and finished it by calling anyone who disagrees a "science denier" or they say "the science is settled". It's all bogus. It has always been hard to put all your faith in science because new discoveries can blow away old ideas. For example, it may turn out that the big bang theory soon will give way to another theory. This is already happening because science is never settled.

Finding out about new genders is not a scientific discovery. Had it been, it would have been something we would have known about for centuries. Fads are not science. One day this multiple gender fad will all be a distant memory. But for now the left is pushing it very hard.

Psychology is not advanced biology.

I just want you to know that I'm not trying to be mean or hurtful. I don't hate you or anyone else. But the one thing about truth is it hurts a whole lot. So much so that the left has made a cottage industry off the idea that those who speak the truth are haters.

People are going to do what they want to do regardless of the truth. And it's a free country. But if you want to follow the truth then it means changing yourself. The other thing is that the truth will never let you down. All of this other postmodernist nonsense is going to make you miserable and depressed and it will let you down.

Truth is absolute meaning what is true for one person is true for everyone. That doesn't mean that truth is something that people decide on my popular majority. Truth stands on it's own without politics. Truth just is.

Some truths are provisional truths. That's how real science operates. Based on observable evidence hypothesis are made. Which leads to theories. Theories are not truths, they are provisional truths. They are what people based scientific ideas on until that theory is proved false.

A provisional truth is still not truth. It is just a base to operate to prove a theory. Sometimes the theory is wrong and sometimes the entire base is wrong.

Unfortunately, personal opinions and pride will still cause people to hang in to those false ideas.

When the big bang theory was first proposed there were a lot of scientists who rejected it outright. Some even called a Christian conspiracy theory. But those people eventually had to change.

I don't all the details but from I understand the big bang theory is being challenged by another theory.

So it's hard to put all of your trust and faith in science because long held theories can change. So you have to relay on unchanging truth.

It happens all the time. I don't care anymore. A name is something every on has and is expected to have.

So is a gender but there are only 2 to choose from.

A person who is male and has invented for himself a made up gender and tells me I must use some made up pronouns to describe him then that's just foolishness. Stop trying to get attention. You're not being unique, you're just being a narcissist. I ain't got time for narcissists of any type. I'm not going to be manipulated into doing something I don't want to do.

If it makes you feel bad because someone doesn't use your made up pronouns then the problem is not with them, it's with you. You can play the pronoun game with your friends who will play along all day long. Do not ever expect other people to alter their speech or behavior just for you. I don't care what kind of bogus arguments the left has filled your head with to justify that behavior, you just do not have the right to tell anyone that they have to change for you.

If that makes you feel bad then you need to get used to it. We used to try to teach children how to build character so they can face anything in the world and handle it. But now kids and even adults run to safe spaces and are afraid of words. That's very troublesome. Because now we've created a generation of narcissists who don't know how to function in society unless they can force people to change for them.

We've created a generation of colossal pains in the butts. It doesn't matter how old you are, I don't care if you're 45 and you think this was. Grow up and stop blaming everyone else for your problems. Learn how to live in society without constantly making demands on people.
