Yes, targeted tariffs do exist. Like, for example, the one on EV batteries made in China. Targetting those specifically so existing American EV Battery manufacturing can expand does happen. They are useful.

But the same process is going to happen. It's just with 1 product.

But he's not proposing a targetted tariff. It's EVERYTHING.

Including tomatoes, which 80% of tomatoes sold in the US come from Mexico.

Broad tariffs cause everything to go up. IT's a massive tax hike on consumers.

They forget that it in 2016 he also promised to:

Deport all the illegals in his first month,

End all immigration and tourism from Muslim countries,

Remove Russia from Ukraine,

Repair infrastructure,

Repeal and replace Obamacare.

Nope. During his inauguration in 2016 Trump said that Mexico would reimburse us after completing the wall, which also was a hard no from Mexico.

But Biden did get Mexico to pay for some of the border protections.
