Maybe you should tell that to those who lived through the Soviet Union. They clearly referred to themselves as “Communists.”

I have a family member that is homeless, he has a warm bed waiting for him 24/7 but isnt allowed to drink there so he chooses to be homeless, he also has a warm bed at his rich parents house far away from the "street", he IS allowed to drink there but chooses not to go. many homeless are that way because they choose to be

There is a homeless guy who dwells in the vicinity of the shopping plaza I work in. This guy tries to act like me & him are buddies and will come into my store all the time and talk my ear off and vent about his homeless guy problems... while I'm working 8+ hour shifts 5 days of the week. This guy spends his days hanging out in a shopping plaza yet makes no effort to try to find any employment. There's literally a Walmart 500 feet away that hires people with Down syndrome. There are 2 parks close by where he could be a custodian/groundskeeper

The only reason I ended up at my current job was because my previous job that I really liked got screwed over by Covid, yet I still get up and go to work every day that I'm scheduled. I have put up with so much bs that has made me want to quit yet I've still stuck around.
