I should also add, that if I wanted to pretend to be somebody else (such as my dead father, who voted republican his whole life until he died, and sadly since then he's voted nothing but blue...) I certainly would have been able to do so. I was required to produce nothing in the way of identification. Not even the voter packet the state sends to all registered voters.

And ballot harvesting is also allowed... Traditionally red Orange County just elected a dem, convicted DUI, state senator to Congress

Of all the horrible things we do here in Taxifornia, ballot harvesting is right at the top of the list. Not only should it be illegal, in my opinion it’s immoral. The left, is clearly taking advantage of the voting age public in many cases, including controlling the votes of the elderly, who may not be quite as sharp as they used to be.

I live in the Bay Area block of the Peoples' Republik of Taxifironia, Santa Clara sector, and I voted early / in person. The nice elderly lady who assisted me did everything she could to act like she wanted me to prove who I was, but somehow without the benefit of being able to ask for my ID.

Certainly anecdotal, so no conclusions about our socialist state can be drawn. But for Taxifornia, better than one would expect.

(yes, I assured her that I was, in fact, me... 👍🤣)

But Newsom made it illegal to ask for ID...
2 ups, 1mo
Of course he did, because that’s the type of socialist crap that he does. He has zero interest in election integrity, one person / one vote, democracy and its ilk, etc. All he cares about is demographic destiny, which translates into more electoral votes for the demonrat party in his sick twisted socialist mind.

We wouldn’t want that kindly elderly lady who helped me to have to actually check IDs! We can’t allow that now, can we, Greasy Gavin Nussolini!

Correlation /= Causation. The States that she won are Democratic Party strongholds. Democratic Party States don't go on these presumptive xenophobic jihads against immigrants and asylum seekers. Every county has a Registrar-Recorder. They confirm that every voter was born within the territorial limits of the United States (and Puerto Rico), and has a 14th Amendment claim to "US citizenship" (should they want to be a citizen of the District of Columbia, and Conquered Territories, rather than a state Citizen, of one of the Several United States of America. I am in that latter group. I don't want to carry papers that "Identify" me, as property of THE STATE GOVERNMENT, and as collateral upon the Federal debt, to the Federal Reserve. I don't have any "Valid GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID", and I don't want one, either). US citizens are classified as "Qualified electors", within each STATE. I am an Elector of the state, as a birthright.

If this was really a problem - then the Commission headed by Kris Kobach, in Trump's first term, would have found evidence of it. There was none. The Commission quietly shut down. Voter ID = a "National ID" requirement = a requirement for mandatory enslavement, in order for people to exercise their right to vote.

"Democratic Party States don't go on these presumptive xenophobic jihads against immigrants and asylum seekers."

I find that statement to be not only patently presumptive with lying bullshit, but entirely offensive. I'm married to a LEGAL immigrant, and she's pretty squarely against ILLEGAL immigrants just walking into the country.

Not only because she had to go through the LEGAL immigration process, which is difficult and possibly expensive for them, and for nearly all very lengthy, but because she is a law abiding citizen, unlike ILLEGALS who by definition are criminals when they break the law entering our country, ILLEGALLY.

So your little pie in the sky leftist kumbaya idealism is not only impractical and ridiculous, it's just plain ILLEGAL.

A country is not a country without borders.

And one ILLEGAL immigrant crime is too many ILLEGAL immigrant crimes, especially when it's murder or rape or a violent crime of that nature.

Try pushing your pathetic liberal BS on a family who lost a loved one at the hands of a criminal who Biden and Harris let walk right into the country, but who should not ever have been here in the first place.

Your party lost because of the very thing that you claim is what makes then good. But it doesn't. Open borders lead to rape and abuse of females of all ages, children being used by coyotes, pretending to be family. You guys really, as in REALLY need to look in the mirror and figure out that you're the immigration problem. Not law abiding citizens.

Do you sense how voters who feel as I do are not going to budge on this issue?

Asylum seekers and refugees AREN'T "illegal"-anything. They're entitled to seek asylum under US and International law - and typically, they're FLEEING from the foreign, and economic policies of the US Government. We trashed the economies of Venezuela and Cuba, unlawfully - and for stupid ideological reasons (covering for corporate greed, in the case of Venezuela). The Pottery Barn rule, applies.

What's presumptive and ignorant, is assuming that people from Catholic countries, that tend to be politically conservative, and who oppose abortion, largely - wouldn't just vote for the Republicans... Aside, that is, for all of the Xenophobic, anti-immigrant and often quite racist rhetoric, directed against our neighbors to the South.

For the record - the granting of TPS (presumptive asylum) to Venezuelans - was actually proposed by rightwing Republicans, though it was implemented by the Biden Regime, and perhaps that was done poorly, perhaps not.

The goal was to facilitate a brain and bodies drain, to further suppress their economy - as part of decades of "Hybrid Warfare". And it was used by the CIA and NED/USAID/State Dept., to get their failed-color revolution assets, out of the country; after the most recent Coup attempt flopped. It flopped because it was politically unpopular in Venezuela, whose people would be quite happy to stay in the own country - were we not so actively destroying everything in it, including the economy. And of course the CIA tends to hire ruthless criminals, psychopaths, and sociopaths - like themselves - when trying to stage a Coup. The 2014 Coup in Kiev is a good example of this.

For the record - it seems like all of your assumptions are false. I'm not a Democrat. I didn't vote for Harris. I voted for Steve Garvey. The fact remains, Harris and Schiff are fairly (super-majority) popular, here in California. Non-"US citizens" voting - isn't how elections are stolen. It's been done with the machines, for a long time now https://blackboxvoting.org/proof-of-fraud/ and now - you can add in untraceable Mail-in Ballot Vote Fraud.

Seeking asylum means they have to ask for it in the first country they come to. Every map shows those coming from Central America are passing through Mexico. They should seek assylum there first.

Nope. That's NOT - US Law. And if the intervening countries aren't "safe" - which thanks to US-Trained Death Squads, CIA Drug Cartels, and Street Gangs founded in the USA, they can transit through to the first safe country - that's us.

It sounds like you don't like the Refugees - fleeing the unlawful policies of OUR Government... I'll bet that you consider them a burden... As that's the case (with many, if not yourself) - why should that burden be shouldered by countries with no culpability, who received no benefit from the crimes that sent these people packing? And, of course, those poor countries in between, have no real ability to house and accommodate millions of people, displaced by the US Empire's policies.

And getting back to the issue in the meme above - non-citizens, refugees, green card holders - can't vote. And there's no evidence to suggest that they actually do. If you have evidence of a crime being committed - by all means, contact the proper authorities.

That’s the international law
0 ups, 1mo
Which the US adopted - by treaty, along with the UN Charter, and various other conventions.

But the US also accepts Asylum seekers and Refugees, and allows their claims to be made, wherever they make them, without regard to how they entered, under US Law.

And when Trump refused to allow the migrants (fleeing US Drug Cartels and Gangs and the NarcoDictatorship installed in Honduras, by Obama and Killary) to enter and make asylum claims - it was he who was breaking the law.

And all of the mania over the policing of the undocumented, led to a whole lot of Georgia Peaches, rotting in their orchards. And it's that kind of Big Government that will eventually be creating the cage that YOU are trapped-in. Peter Thiel wants an electronic Technocratic slave society. And Trump's wall, will prevent YOU from escaping it.

Where was all of this concern on the right, for illegal border crossers, when Luis Posada Carriles openly admitted to illegal entry - after being broken out of a Jail Cell, and fleeing Justice systems of multiple Countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
