Been watching the news, and the Samaritans Purse is one of the few groups actually there providing assistance.

If anyone wants to help, here's the link. They are solid folk imo.

I'm not even going to try. So it appears we're just about out of FEMA funds.

Just tell em you wanna murder a baby and they got your funds.

The people in Congress that decided draining American citizen emergency relief funds to redirect to illegal immigrants need run out of office.

The way FEMA is blocking people trying to help, It's practically become a war zone.

The leftist controlled United States, just to be specific about this. Upvoted.

A joke? Even more so, when they're denying applications from victims for the $750

I firmly believe that the Dems made this happen with the weather in the red areas of the state only- fact!

Just so we can have some historical context...how was the funding for every other hurricane handled?

Was it by the executive branch? Or was it handled by some other branch of the Government?

What's the normal process for hurricane disaster funding so we can compare it to what's happening with Helene?

Lemme guess, You must be talking about Hurricane What-A-Bout. The lamest Hurricane EVER.

But to answer your question, $30Billion was given to Puerto Rico for Hurricane Maria.
Best I can tell, $20Million has been allocated for Helene victims.

Pick any hurricane you want. Add them all up together. Or don't.

The question is; who authorizes that money? Who says "Yes, FEMA, spend X amount of money on that hurricane"? Which group is that?

I'll give you a strong hint: it's not the Executive branch. It's the only branch of the government that has the Constitutional authority to fund anything.

Because it's fine to get mad at the amount of money being used for hurricane relief. I agree, it should be more. Just get mad at the right people.

Also, if by "given more money to Iran", you're referring to the Iran Deal under President Obama- we didn't give them any thing. That was their money frozen in European & American banks to incentive them to not develop a nuke.

It's not just the money, but it's also FEMA blocking others from helping.
2 ups, 2mo
It literally is the money and no FEMA is not blocking others.

Unsubstantiated source is unsubstantiated.

But, oh, look, a source has appeared: https://www.fema.gov/node/fema-confiscating-donations-survivors

30 seconds. That is literally what it took. I've told you this before- stop leading with a conclusion and then looking for evidence to support that conclusion.

Democrats in denial as usual, deciding what is or is unsubstantiated without knowing anythiing.
Other reports of it in the news.

Some guy told a guy, and then that guy tweeted about it.

Hell of a source. Did that guy also promise you a self-driving talking car or beach front property in Florida?

And go to a search engine like Duck Duck Go. Do a search for "FEMA seizing donations and supplies."

Wanna guess what you'll find? Reporting like this: https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/verify/fema-helene-donations-verify-10-3-2024/275-7f7c29c9-dcf0-4f1a-91e4-ead1aa4dd4d5

What about 3 Republican Governors?

https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/03/politics/fact-check-trump-biden-hurricane-response/index.html

Republican South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said at a Tuesday press conference that federal assistance had “been superb,” noting that Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had both called and told him to let them know whatever the state needed. McMaster added that the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Deanne Criswell, had also called. He said, “So we’re getting assistance, and we’re asking for everything we need.”

Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said at a Monday press conference, “I’m incredibly appreciative of the rapid response and the cooperation from the federal team at FEMA.” He specifically thanked Biden, among others, in a press release the day prior.

Republican Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said at a Wednesday press conference that the response to his emergency declaration “was quick from the federal government,” adding there was “a fast turnaround, frankly,” in making the state eligible for some federal reimbursements.

At a Tuesday press conference, Lee spoke of a “rush” of officials “from the federal to the state to the local, the local emergency management agencies, local county mayors with tears in their eyes out there serving their people. There is a great deal of hope when you see what is behind the effort, the coordinated effort, in this community to begin to rebuild.”

Stop believing lies because you want them to be true. Go to verifiable sources. Get accurate up to date information. Then form a conclusion. And when new, more accurate information comes to light, update your conclusion.
