So with the current influx, lettuce and strawberries should be pretty much free I guess.

grass is greener | In 2021, the average price of strawberries in France was 7.02 euros per kilogram for conventional strawberries and 12.75 euros per kilogram | image tagged in grass is greener | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Well, much cheaper than they would be otherwise. Less than half the price in Europe.
How do you like them apples?

How ridiculous is this statement of your meme.
One is quite presumptuous to assume intent on the part of Migrant workers.
For decades, these kind foreign nationals are happy to be residents of other countries, and only arrive here to work the crops.
Then, they are proud to return to their home countries, having only stayed as guests and worked to earn money to send home.
Many could provide a Passport if only asked. Yet, often in the USA, snobs presume they don't possess them, nor desire to return to their beloved homeland when the seasonal work is completed.

The Problem currently is one not of hispanic nor latino nature.
Yet memes like this perpetuate the age old myth of days of yore.
The current issue is that against USA federal statutes, the Pacific Ocean Border West Coast States ALL have legalized Many Federally Illegal Drugs, with the financing and statewide permitted help of
a Communist Country.
This Marxist, Maoist Dynasty, sends highly trained workers, to enter via the southern border illegally, and work as wards of their state, call them slaves or indentured servants as you must, yet they often allegedly speak either Cantonese, or Mandarin, and sometimes as a second language Spanish, or English, yet these people are sent to work for the state legal permitted grow farms to produce a USA federally illegal product and therein lies the specific issue of concern.
Marxist turds are in need a Sewage Treatment Plant too.

It kind of sounds like you're the one presuming their intent. My meme said nothing about their emotions, only about their labor power. The US's food production runs on the labor power of immigrants (among others), and without their contributions we'd all be a lot hungrier -- and a lot poorer, as the prices of food went up to reflect the labor shortage.

Food is not the only thing needing labor.
Yet, I guess only one person on this thread presumes just that.
What did Cesar Chavez say regarding that sort of Labor?

Medicinal and Recreational Marijuana with permits from states that ignore more than one federal law.
Try Landscaping, Motel Laundry, Dishwashers, & Day Laborers etc. to add to your myopic list.

We'll get there, won't we? Rather than "myopic" I think about these memes as granular. The mood on this stream is very anti-holistic this week, as it happens.

You're right, there are a whole bunch of US industries that rely on immigrant labor (seasonal/temporary or permanent; documented or undocumented). Other parts of our economy that would undoubtedly crumble if immigrants withdrew their contributions: construction, health and long-term care, food service . . . )

On the whole, it can feel good to say holistic.

Did the OP actually presume the intent of migrant workers or is that just the narrative you're pushing to springboard into the rest of your diatribe?

At ease Francis.
Nothing being pushed here.
Just an accurate observation.
One that apparently caught a couple people/AI attention enough to reply.

So that's a "No, the OP didn't presume the intent of migrant workers" and a "Yes, it was a just a springboard." then?

Maybe with a side-helping of "I really want to tell the OP what they're thinking."

Oh that.
Well, the OP did not even mention migrant. It mentioned immigrant.
That word denotes intent to stay.
Hope that clarifies your confusion.
For what is so bad about where these people originate, that they are emigrants of those nations?

What would Cesar Chavez Say ?

The meme states stats.
It's not an op-ed piece. Not sure how anyone can see it that way.
