The government is largely responsible for the creation of the dead beat dad.

You are correct in stating that one's decision to not marry and/or not have children does not make one anti-family.

Having cats for companionship does not necessarily mean one is a deranged proponent of baby murder.

Similarly, one's belief in a "traditional" lifestyle does not necessarily mean one is a misogynist or a "phobic".

The comment that you responded to is also correct in some cases.  Many miserable people either enjoy making others miserable or enjoy receiving the attention they lack in their solitary, lonely lives by creating a commotion.

I find it hard to believe Señor Musk provides no financial support for his children.

It is not like he is a $35k/year earner, ordered to pay $1200/month ($14,400/yr) in "momma can buy her loser boyfriend new sneakers and keep him in cigarettes" "child support" payments.

While she moves her boyfriend (likely a dead beat dad himself) into the free or low rent subsidized housing unit with free or subsidized utilities intended for her and her CHILD(REN), feeding her boyfriend with the food stamps intended for her and her CHILD(REN), providing for her boyfriend's wants with the support money paid by dad intended for his CHILD(REN); dad has to get a second job to support two households, eat, and avoid living in his car.  Or if he was "smart", move into a woman's freebie household and mooch of her and her children, and by this proxy, those children's father and the government. 

In the midst of all this, dad is often faced with drama and animosity when trying to spend what time he can spare with his CHILD(REN).

Eliminate the welfare system and you will see an organic restoration of the family unit and the longevity of marriages in very short order.

By "organic" I mean "on its own"; nothing else needs done but end welfare programs.

I do not think your cat ownership makes you a child grooming LMNOQ activist.

The "overly perverted" part of your comment confuses me...are you perverted but not overly so, possess a standard level of perversion, or not perverted at all?

What metric determines one's level of perversion?  😄

The government makes for a terrible surrogate dad.

Single mother households are the worst option for a child's physical, financial, and emotional well being.  (Not my opinion but well vetted fact by experts - do your own research).

I would agree with you that a government welfare state shouldn't be a substitute for a father but I don't think the welfare state is necessarily the cause of a man making his own shitty decision to refuse to be a good family man to the woman he got pregnant and his kid. Elon Musk had several kids with several women, some out of wedlock and he is a notorious deadbeat dad who refuses to support all his kids and exes. I agree that fatherlessness is a problem and society doesn't seem to come after deadbeat dads as much as they do to women, not just who irresponsibly sleep around and are unfit mothers but even women who merely choose not to get married and have children and don't even get pregnant out of wedlock.

I did not make an excuse for ignoring obligations.

I state that the government stuck its nose in the affairs of the family and no good came of that.

The courts long overburdened men with disproportionate amounts of financial responsibility for the children while the mother was unduly enriched by the support payments.

This burden interfered with parenting time and the financial stability of the father.

Only in recent years has more equity been applied to child maintenance and shared parenting.

I am not aware of women being harassed by society for simply choosing to not marry and/or have children.

Do you have specific examples of this occurring?

Parenting is a two-person job.  Critics of parents too often denigrate the mothers when they're doing a great job and completely ignore the fathers when they're doing an awful job.

Research has proven that single or divorced mothers largely do a horrible job of raising well adjusted, successful children compared with those kids raised by dad alone or reared by both natural parents.

Please note I stated "largely", not "all".

I do not agree that society ignores fathers doing an awful job.
