Actually they now say the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs hit the ocean and caused a continent wide tidal wave that caused the continent wide flood layers in the geological column (some types of layers can only be caused by flooding and span entire continents)

Not to mention every culture on earth has a Flood narrative. In India the story was that the survivor had three sons named Iapetha, Shama and Chama. Additionally Chama mocked his father who became drunk — care to guess where else that story is found in a book written by someone who had never been to India?
