Its not just all illegals part of it is. Part of it's the standards making a failng grade a 40 percent. Changing the standards is not right. An A should be 93-100. The problem is bad tho with two parents as teachers they voice strongly about what is going wrong with the educational system

Lowering standards is a major part of the problem, same with affirmative action, they are graduating people of color that can't even read at a 5th grade level, here in chicago, city schools have a 13% reading comprehension for the grade the students are in, so only 13% of 8th graders can read at an 8th grade level, math is much worse.. only 5%.

Yeah I notice that at my school. The lack of effort is crazy. Not a lot of kids care the lowering standards is bad to. I doubt any body in my grade that isn't in my active honors, advanced classes actually reads.

Then they wonder why they can't get a good job, its really sad that the schools are allowing kids to be uneducated and passing them.

I have son that it experiencing this already in his class, it isn't just overcrowed, the illegal kids are also disruptive, loud, violent, their hygiene is disgusting, they lice scares in my son's class room 3 times this year. Chicago schools were already over crowded when I was going back in the 80s, its 1000 times worse now.

The answer is homeschooling. I homeschooled my nephew and he jumped 3 grades, back to where he was supposed to be.

I do , I go to every council meeting, I go and talk to school boards, and my wife does the saem if I am unable to get away from work when these things are going on. What more can any one do?
