The only possible way this could work, is if the government ended all restrictions on food productions and end any quotas on produce. America has enough food to feed everyone 10x over, the amount of food we destroy to keep prices high, including hog carcasses and milk, breaks my heart.

I think some restrictions are necessary, but only ones needed to ensure good won’t make the consumer sick. As for upper limits on produce, I’m not educated enough on that topic to have a real say but at first glance I’d say those limits sound arbitrary. Just like how OPEC caps how many barrels of oil can be produced to control their scarcity, and by proxy drive prices up
