"Exposing evil is considered more evil than people who actually do evil"
That's sad. I think part of.the reason for it is the saying that "Nobody likes a tattletale." You keep hearing that and reading that over and over again. You never hear people say things like "Nobody likes a cheater" or "Nobody likes a murderer" or "Nobody likes a rapist".
