The native people of Jamaica came from central and south America, so they are not African. Of course, people tend to mix, sometimes a lot, and obviously there are people in Jamaica with African heritage. So saying she's Jamaican and Indian doesn't necessarily rule African heritage in or out, imo.
Although, the fact that she has slave owners as ancestors would have to make a person think that maybe she doesn't have African heritage. Yes, in Africa other Africans engaged in the slave trade, but I'm not so sure Africans outside of African would. Of course I could be wrong. So maybe that's just me looking at the situation through my own obviously anti-slavery tinted eyeglasses.
