He was against Roe v Wade from it's inception up until 4 or 5 years ago when he was told it would be politically convenient to pretend to embrace it.
His was the driving force behind the creation and passage of a crime bill that disproportionately incarcerated black Americans for disproportionately lengthier sentences.
He always would do what needed done, that continued to remain undone, if reelected.
His achievements in 50 years of sitting in congress were his great ability to be ineffective and successfully concealing his racism in plain sight.
A lifelong bigot.
A lifelong leech.
A feckless parasite.
