Unfortunately liberals don't see the connection.
If the government tripped the tax on avocados and obligated everyone selling them to take a lengthy and expensive test for a licence,
Liberals would blame capitalism for the sudden rise in avocado costs....
...then point to the government as the answer to the problem
I know this because an almost identical conversation like this with real world examples happens on this site every day of the week and still nothing gets through
