There's a big difference between a statement and full on showers until the child is well into their puberty years.
One is an off color comment - that taken out of context... Can seem really bad. Even in context, it's a gross statement. The other can't be "taken out of context" because the context is that Biden's own daughter installed a lock so he couldn't hop in the shower with her, as described in Ashley's Diary.
