Well, I always considered Someone growing up means to 18ish, went to school, made friends, walked the streets and know them like the back of your hand. Like I grew up on the West side but moved to the south side at 22. Him saying he was "born" in Scranton would sound less like pandering.

What if a person lived in one town until 6, another town until 12, and another town until 18? Which town did they grow up in?
