CNN In the weeks leading up to President Joe Biden’s trip to the Middle East, one question dominated: Would he meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman? And, if he did, what would his demeanor be?

After all, MBS had been linked by the US intelligence community directly to the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in 2018. The report, which the Biden administration released in February 2021, concluded that MBS had “approved” the operation that led to Khashogggi’s death.

The White House announced on Wednesday that the Biden administration is canceling student loans for another 160,000 borrowers.

It announced a larger plan last month to provide relief for more than 30 million borrowers by, in part, canceling up to $20,000 of a borrower's accrued interest, regardless of income.

Yes, but: That plan, too, could face legal challenges. Its critics have argued that student debt relief in general is unfair to taxpayers who repaid their loans or didn't go to college.
