Okay, maybe we don’t know her motive for not retiring. But what I do know is that if she was on that court for a certain party, she would have definitely retired so she could be replaced by a liberal justice. So at least she wasn’t anyone’s stooge, which is better than some of the other justices currently on the court.

And yeah, what the GOP did in leaving seats open until they could get a majority in the senate is completely legal. I think it’s a scumbag move, especially since the Supreme Court was never intended to be a political position but rather a check to the other branches, but yeah, those seats definitely weren’t stolen be any means
