The money goes from America to Ukraine who then has to give it to American defense manufacturers!

How sweet it is, unless you're some Ukrainian who gets killed while the American defense manufacturers (and their lobbyists, who buy Congress) get rich!

War tends to be good for economies, yes. Don’t get me wrong, I hate war, I just wanted to point out that the money is still invested into the economy and not just shipped off to Ukraine and never seen again.

And for the record, I support the war effort in Ukraine only because I believe Putin will not stop at Ukraine, but try and invade other European countries as well, leading to a lot more massive of a war that may put American Troops at risk. Is it pretty much a proxy war? Yes, but unless you have a better solution, there’s not much else we can do

They don't want Ukraine for that. They want it for its corruption. They're making a killing on their money laundering there... and they'll be making even more on the rebuild.
