Now Il Douche Trump is taking a stance against the banning of TikTok, which he himself demanded when he was in office!

When I was young and stupid I did inhale, got the munchies and the conversation took strange turns.

Context:

Trump was behind the flip of the bipartisan border deal that Republicans had demanded. Basically because if the border is dealt with by congress, it is less likely he will win.... and winning is apparently everything even if it's at the expense of the US/Mexico border that trump and them have been crying about for however long.

So if what modda said is true about tiktok, then it also would be a trump/right wing position that has flipped... and therefore not really a "strange turn" of the conversation at all.

In fact he does! That’s why he’s trying to pass a bill that would invest in its defense and give the president to power to shut it down in crisis

He already has that power. He reminded all of the border control policies that were in effect prior to instalation.

The money he wants goes mostly to foreign countries to launder and steal.

Not sure if he does, actually. It’s still relatively unclear under current statutes that the president has that power, but the legislation being passed would clarify that a president indeed could do so.

Also while the border bill is a part of the Omnibus bill that would send aid to Israel and Ukraine, given the last I heard, there would still be sufficient spending to the border which would help secure it. Is that not what we want anymore?
