Because first they would have to prove that there was an insurrection rather than a peaceful protest that got out of hand because the Nancy Pelosi controlled D.C. police fired tear gas and rubber bullets unprovoked into the group . . . and they DO NOT want there to be a formal and actual impartial investigation of THAT.

So first they do not want a real investigation to occur and second -- if there were one -- they could NOT prove that there was an insurrection along any sort of classical or legal definition of an insurrection and then since Trump warned people NOT to engage in this peaceful protest event they then cannot prove that Trump incited a protest . . . much less an insurrection.
