The budget deficit got balanced to a surplus through Newt Gingrich (Speaker of the House) forcing a balanced budget on President Clinton. The national debt can increase by more than the deficit (when funds are borrowed from Social Security Trust Fund in the budget). The last year when the national debt did not increase was 1957.
But Joe’s budget deficits are record setting!

In in countries like the one you're from, yes, there is such corruption with the courts, but you sure ain't going to get away with that on this scale with somebody of that position here.

The US housing market is teetering on the brink! The scary thing is that only about 2% of the housing market went into bankruptcy following the 2005-6 housing market crash... that took down the entire economy! This time bankruptcies will be greater and there are no savings to stave off bankruptcies as in 2005-6!

The bad choices home buyers choose to make on their home buying activity and the mortgages to go along with it are their own choices. It's called Capitalism.
