Someone who casually uses the rebel flag as a symbol of the south and then saying they good….assuming it’s true (because I’ve met plenty of confederacy supporters who claimed to have union ancestors so I’m taking you in faith but with a huge grain of salt) that makes your casual support of the confederate flag all the more an insult to American blood spilled.

I have both Confederate and Union ancestors. That is common. By culture and nationality, I'm a Southerner. Doesn't matter what my ancestry is. Sorry, it's so complicated and doesn't fit your simple, binary worldview.

Democratic Socialism is just Marxism lite. Tried it in Sweden, France, and GB in the 60s-70s, and it failed. Failed in Argentina so they voted it out. Works fine until you run out of other people's money. Maduro has the Army in his pocket so Venezuelans can't vote socialism out. What is your ideal Democratic Socialist country? I don't know of any successes. Norway maybe, but they have a ton of oil and a small population.
