I generally agree with you on that.^
But as far as the why part... eh... idk. Even my own article posted was more of a sh*t post just to see what the responses would be.
I think paper media in general is just on the way out.
It's not inconceivable to think one day there won't be any magazines or newspapers. And it's not over concern for the trees cut down, or the whole "go woke go broke" idea, or fake news disillusionment............. it's basically because of our phones.
If you want news, or even sometimes if you don't, it's on the phone. And if fat girls in swimsuits do it for you, the phone has that as well. And whatever articles about sports stuff.
I used to know individuals who bought newspapers. They were older people who could barely use a smart phone. And they're all dead now. Even I used to buy a magazine here and there. Now I can't remember the last time I did. Amazon used to sell books. I'd be surprised if books were even 1% of their business now. I think you get my point.
