Although it probably had more to do than just the annual swimsuit layout in the company going belly-up, I have little doubt that having gone WOKE is the primary reason that their bottom line spiraled down the toilet.

People probably don't do a lot of reading as far as the swimsuit issue but eh..

One swimsuit issue featuring chubby chicks is not the cause of laying off 100 people.

You can believe it is that writing jobs are being taken over by AI.

You may be partially correct.

I believe it is primarily caused by an appreciable decline in subscriptions and newsstand sales due to politicizing and social engineering centered articles.

A great many people are tired of being bombarded with the nonsense.

" One swimsuit issue featuring chubby chicks is not the cause of laying off 100 people."

I generally agree with you on that.^

But as far as the why part... eh... idk. Even my own article posted was more of a sh*t post just to see what the responses would be.

I think paper media in general is just on the way out.

It's not inconceivable to think one day there won't be any magazines or newspapers. And it's not over concern for the trees cut down, or the whole "go woke go broke" idea, or fake news disillusionment............. it's basically because of our phones.

If you want news, or even sometimes if you don't, it's on the phone. And if fat girls in swimsuits do it for you, the phone has that as well. And whatever articles about sports stuff.

I used to know individuals who bought newspapers. They were older people who could barely use a smart phone. And they're all dead now. Even I used to buy a magazine here and there. Now I can't remember the last time I did. Amazon used to sell books. I'd be surprised if books were even 1% of their business now. I think you get my point.

You are correct.

Print media is a thing of the past.

Wait, they can create writers with AI now? Is this some sorta genetic cloning lab run by AI? Can I get more info on this?

1. No, they aren't cloning humans to become writers. They are (allegedly) using Ai programs to write articles .... and using pictures created by Ai.

2. Yes, you can definitely more info on it. Everything you need for the source is right there. "NPR sports illustrated accused of posting Ai articles ".

Eh, it's how the world works. New tools and technology outdate old jobs. Just look at the industrial revolution. I got no problem with it until they start letting it run things.
AI can be trained to give any answer you want. 1+1=5 can be trained into an AI.

No problem until it "runs things"....

Bro... correct me if I'm wrong.. you have a problem with the MSM, right? How do you not have a problem with it writing for the MSM ?

Who do you think writes the code, or chooses the data to input for the Ai that wrote the articles....?

(The Ai articles which could theoretically influence the people who still run things)

Because AI can be trained to do anything, even tell you that 1 + 1 = 5. So you can train an AI to tell the truth (gab.ai) or censor it (chatGPT).

Welp... Almost never do I agree with you and this seems to be one more instance. Even trying to look at it from what I would think your perspective would be.

Humans at least have to be bought or otherwise coerced or tricked to write false articles .. Ai doesn't even need that. You can just program it to pump out false stories about anything. Trump killed Epstein. And it would seem to allow even less accountability. Most likely people who agree with me will be the ones training it what to write too. Big cities in blue states. But there might be some of both.

Just depends who trained it and which AI fact checkers we use to verify it.
