Great meme!

He'll be grateful when the "trans" fad dies out.

?? first, you don't know their gender. Second, it's not a fad, it's always been a thing. Third, I actually find this hilarious, it's so absurd, like what point was the creator of this trying to make 😭 (I know what point they were trying to make but what I mean is that no one actually does this)

Oh...okay.

I have never heard any of those arguments made before.

You completely changed my mind.

Your comment was little more than a "nuh uh".

First - I do know there are only two choices for gender and that one cannot change chromosomes which prevents "transition" beyond costume change.

Second - I disagree with your view on the fad aspect of this topic.

Beards have been around forever but went out of style hundreds of years ago, yet briefly reappear periodically as fads.

I think the last time beards returned before the most recent reemergence (oddly in the least masculine behaving generation ever) was 40- 50 years ago.

Third - your question is best addressed to the OP.

Yet, I will throw in my 2¢...some people DO get backlash from their family when they attend gatherings, provided they are invited in the first place.

Not everyone is accepting of their relative's participation in the fad.

I know, I know....they should be accepted for how they are.

However, what is always overlooked is that the fad participant is not accepting others for how they are.

One makes decisions and decisions have consequences.

I think, more like know, that you are wrong; however, I have been arguing with people for days and am tired of it. I know it doesn't really do anything, but I guess I want there to be input from both sides. Anyway, I'm glad we can both put in effort to be respectful (also, what I meant by that last part wasn't that no trans people are shunned by their family members, but that they don't cry over having certain chromosomes)

You can believe I am wrong.

You can believe you are a man despite having XX chromosomes.

Neither would equate to your being correct.

Neither invalidates my opinion.

Well, we both believe we are correct, and neither of us change change each other's mind, so arguing gets us nowhere. Sorry I started it, it just upsets me a little when I see people saying stuff like this

I understand.

I am provoked to pity when I see people struggling to accept reality.

Making America Great Again is a fad?

Making America Great Again isn't some short life cycled product that gained popularity overnight and tossed away like a pronoun to trade for another the following day.

It was with Reagan.
Yay, the packaging for our underwear said "Made in the USA" and he got Japan to open up some of their car factories here so we can buy Toyotas guilt free as they were (largely) assembled by non-union Americans paid less than workers at our floundering auto factories and there was also tax incentives and subsidies to open American factories abroad so they could buy our brands more. Made by China.

A valid point that I cannot argue.

You definitely know your history and how to defend your stance on the matter...Respect.

Thanks.
Yeah, I lived through that. I be old.

Slogans seemed good, inspiring, but then, wha? Frig Toyota, focus on America.

And how come transgenderism has become part of their culture?
2 ups, 11mo,

Edit:
So the source you've provide indicates that transgender was part of an Asian culture during ancient times and such move on westward as the history progress.
Interesting stuff but i got questions:
For what was purpose when a man dressing and acting like a woman many centuries ago?
And where does an individual get the idea that a man thinks he was a woman or vice versa?

I bet you that if nobody ever made their sexuality super public, all LGBTQ stuff would not be as popular
1 up, 7mo,
1 reply
That is exactly right.

It is attention seeking behavior.

Why "transition" from man to woman or wo.an to man and then go around announcing it to everyone?

Pretty much undermines one's desire to be accepted as the opposite gender.

Keep it to yourself, your immediate family, and any romantic partners you may pursue or that pursue you.
1 up, 7mo
The only justification for it is if ur hot, and need to clarify, bc otherwise, people WOULD pursue you and it would not feel good to be crushing on a trans person unknowingly.
2 ups, 11mo
"Different cultures probably had different purposes for it"

Please state an example if you can.

"Because some people are born that way"

So you're saying that some girl wanted to be a man all because she was born that way. Are you now insinuating that transgenderism is 100% natural?

Well yeah; there's a reason it's called "gender", because it's determined by your genes.

How is that another gender? It indicates a flux between the 2, both which still set the parameters.

Basic Horseshoe Theory.

My view on gender is the other way from this newfangled Baskin Robbins approach that no one was aware of till maybe 8 years or so ago. I don't see how men and and women are opposites. They're both different degrees of the same basic ingredients (other than uteruses), only one is even more annoying than the other, as well as more aesthetically pleasing.

I would say more like a multiple choice test, not a spectrum, cuz you can choose which things apply to how you feel

I said choose something that applies to how you feel, so you can zero in on what your label is
2 ups, 11mo
Is it a spectrum if there are nonbinary people who say that they are outside of the spectrum, or a binary system?
2 ups, 11mo
Like with handedness. That's like saying there's typically left or right handed but also varying degrees of ambidextrous yet making ambidextrous sound like another type of handedness instead of just being somewhere between the two. But being 65% this and 35% that does not make it another type of beastie. We have level ground and we have hills, and some hills are steeper and others not so much. It's still a hill.
2 ups, 11mo
Saying that you are non-binary implies the existence of a binary system, so are those people excluded from the spectrum if they are the ones that excluded themselves from it?
