I used to not like him in the WWF, found him flaunting a little too smugly the Mr Chipper Awesome Hero Guy shtick.

But then he turned on Rey Mysterio and came back in a wheelchair after a match injury all whiny, sobbing how he's "gonna quite, I SWEAR!" (I watched the show sporadically back then, so missed some bits of that storyline). It was then I realized this dude's funny. He's been pretty cool in movies too, and this exposure of Diaper Don...

I've not seen him in anything other than wrestling and movies, but the overly self assured good guy routine was obviously some damn fine acting, as he seems more grounded.
