Hear me out ok? I get what they’re saying, but trans rights are not human rights. Human rights apply to everyone, while trans rights apply to a specific limited number of people

you have a point, but human rights and trans rights are one and the same.

the only thing that trans have that normal people don't is a gender change, otherwise there's no difference in the laws surrounding them. You guys talk about this like their 2 different things, they're not.

Trans rights as additional rights that pertain specifically to transgender individuals are not human rights. Human rights apply to everyone regardless of orientation. Don’t hear what I’m not saying though, trans people are human, and trans people are as entitled to human rights as any other human, I just disagree that “trans rights are human rights”, given that in my mind “trans rights” pertain specifically to trans people, but what’s your definition of trans rights?

trans rights are human rights, theres no difference in the basic human rights (life, liberty, the pursuit of property).

now the LAWS (emphasis on LAWS) surrounding trans people are slightly different due to the surgeries, legal gender change, ect. but thats true on both sides so things pretty much even out

What extra rights do trans people get? Or do they lose human rights after becoming trans?

They don’t lose their human rights because they don’t lose their… status feels like the wrong word, but they don’t lose their status as human. What rights don’t they have?

You see - if some of them can't compete against biological women, it's discrimination against the trans woman (who will potentially obliterate the competition having competed against men for years). If some of them aren't allowed to dress in Lingerie and read to children... That's discrimination. If the transwoman isn't allowed to whip her p**is out and take a leak in the same bathroom as your daughter or wife or girlfriend or sister.... That's discrimination.

So basically trans rights are additional rights that most other humans don't get - that trans people do, even if the target item is widely viewed as inappropriate by the rest of the people who aren't allowed those rights.

you realized that a truly trans woman wouldn't have a p**is, that's just a guy wearing drag... not to mention that the sports argument has been settled, and disproven many times.... and the whole "trans women reading to kids" is just that, there's no lingerie involved....

so for the love of god stop cherry picking and if you dont fully understand the culture that your talking about please dont spread misinformation.

There's no specification that surgery has to occur in a trans woman. To say truly trans women ja e had surgery is discrimination to non surgical trans women. Ergo those trans women get an extra right compared to surgical trans women.

no, thats not discrimination. im talking in the sense of "are you legally male or female" whereas your talking about perceptually being a trans woman/man.

if your not LEGALLY trans you are not given extra rights of any kind. Now whether or not society follows this is the question, but in a perfect world where people followed the laws and actually understood the laws then this wouldn't be a problem.

How does one Legally change their sex? Is there even a court to take that to?

That’s an oversimplification my friend, but I see what you’re saying and agree to some extent.
0 ups, 8mo
It's mostly just the description of what a lot in society see as problems with situations particular to certain trans people. There are examples of these situations and everyone who doesn't agree with it has to accept it - or be labeled discriminatory. Most trans people are not the spotlight situations.

there are no legit "extra" rights that are written down as a law, there have been no changes to the human rights that exist. Simply put, if you're a human being, regardless of age, gender, race, or sexuality, you have basic human rights (the rights to life, liberty, and property) and nothing can change that.
