I actually think I would've preferred a denial as opposed to the "justification" given.

A denial that it happened is at least a tacit acknowledgement that "if" it had happened it was wrong.

Also, if it was just the killing (colateral damage) that is a natural, but unfortunate part of war, there would not be an obvious "evil" side.

When you think about it Muslim nations got away with too much since the start of the 20th Century beginning with all but 'triggering' WW1. Interesting that Germany, Italy, and Japan all got punished for WW 2 but no Muslim country did. . .huh. . .

All Muslim nation have their own unique history.  You can't sum it up that easily.  For instance, the US and GB over through the elected government of Iran in 1953 and installed a puppet government.  The Islamic revolution may never have occurred if the US had minded its own business.

Hamas and Iran are victimizing both Israelis and Palestinians.  Iran doesn't want peace because they don't want Arabs and Jews uniting against them.

It amazes me how malleable people's opinions are.  They will pick a side even when they have no dog in the fight.  I think people are really lonely and they like joining groups.

Everyone posting here needs to do a little research on the history of this conflict. Start with the Zionist movement then maybe the British occupation of Palestine. This conflict has been going on since before WWII. It is very complicated, and taking anyone's side seems uninformed to me. I have no problem with condemning Hamas, but this is not happening in a vacuum.

I specified beheading as opposed to just "killing" of innocents. 

Collateral damage is a sad part of war, but unavoidable. Hospital and schools are going to get overflow hit when a government intentionallyplaces military bomb targets next to them. But beheading and raping,  that's not just colateral damage, its meant to cause innocents to not just die, but cause extra suffering. It's violent, personal, and evil.
