Vietnam taught soldiers the fallacy of letting unarmed civilians get close enough to set off a hidden bomb. Intelligent armies around the world learned their lessons from that . . . which is why when a soldier barks at a civilian to stop and hold position he or she had better listen.
Of course what's really been fun is how many leftists have been telling us that there was justification for HAMAS and the armed Palestinian civilians that followed them over the border to systematically rape, torture, and murder Israeli civilians. That just never gets old.
