Nobody is stopping anyone -- as of yet -- from standing for peace. Governments have other considerations, however. Governments striving on the world stage for leverage and standing almost never are really for peace, because it tends to get in the way of their scheming. That's historical reality.

So it's the individual citizens that strive for peace or not. Most don't really CARE as long as war does not personally affect them or raise their taxes too much. This is human reality.

Personally I don't want to see another dime poured into either the Ukrainian/Russian or Israeli/HAMAS conflicts. But then as an individual what I want really does not matter. What a hundred thousand individuals want, really doesn't matter. It needs to get into the tens of millions before governments CARE what citizens really think.

Yard signs went from BLM to "We Stand With Ukraine" almost overnight. Now it's "We Stand With Israel." I'm just pointing out how unconscious these people are.

Mom, he started it! Who is going to end it? We all know the history of this conflict going back to before WWII. What bothers me is that no one is trying to make any real progress towards peace. Countries such as Iran and the US use this conflict to further their power and influence without any concern for human life.

You don't know the history of this region… Israel goes back over 3000 years. Palestine was a British division… Egypt, Syria, Jordon and Iran won't take the Palestinian refugees… why?

The history of the conflict between Israel and Palestine is not that old. It started with Jews from Europe migrating to Palestine. Before that, Jews and Arabs lived together in relative peace. Palestinian refugees in Lebanon destabilize the entire country. I think that is why neighboring countries won't take Palestinians. You can't simplify it to a binary. The "good guys vs. bad guys" scenario doesn't exist in the real world.

Some Jews want to push all Palestinians out of Israel including the West Bank and Gaza. The hate goes both ways. Are the Israelis invaders? Are the Arabs terrorists? It's not simple.
