Um . . . so? What's your point?

Why are we so quick to send our military might to defend Israel when we can't even defend our southern border. It certainly isn't reciprocated.

What military might are we sending to Israel aside from an aircraft carrier that was already in the region? As for our southern border we CAN secure it; but leftists WANT it wide full open, and currently they are in control of the executive branch and the Senate.

We're sending a ton of military might. I agree, low IQ leftists want it wide open. My point is this, we have no business being the world police, and we certainly shouldn't be defending 1st world countries who can afford to defend themselves.

This. 100%

But they sell our military equipment to China, spy on the White House, give unaccurate military intelligence to provoke us to war, bomb our ship, send people like Jeff Epstein to blackmail our politicians, what do you mean it's not reciprocated?

My apologies. Should have know better by the name.

The point is only one side actually puts their people up to fight for the other. Seems quite clear.

That's right, Israeli's are too valuable to sacrifice for the goyem.

To be clear, I am not supporting either side. I am simply saying that it's none of our business, and they can fight their own war. They didn't support us after 9/11, we shouldn't be supporting them now. Especially considering they're a rich 1st world country, and we're $33 Trillion in debt.
1 up, 1y
Yes, they are rich enough to fight this on their own. And they don't give a shit about their supposed allies except to milk them like goyim cattle, unironically.
1 up, 1y
Um, because we didn't want them to?
Same for Desert Shield, when Bush Sr asked them to not get involved even in self defense and WE saw on the news Sadam firing missiles into Israel nightly while they did nothing in defense in order to not broaden the theater of war.
You DO remember this from them days, yes?

If they got involved in any of these wars it would be yet another grievance and excuse for terrorism their enemies in the region would have against them. Ain't easy when they're next door neighbors and already pissed at them.

Tell us. What benefit has Israel actually been to us but to make everyone in the middle east hate us?

Hahahaha! Everyone in the Middle East hates us because we keep going to various of their nations and 'police' the hell out of them for a variety of reasons that ultimately don't hold water. I don't have a problem being honest about what the United States does. Nor do I have a problem with the nation of Israel which is an ally . . . a firm ally . . . which since it is our only firm and permanent ally in the Middle East AND a first world nation it is automatically an asset. More to the point we would have to justify turning our backs on an acknowledged ally WHILE we are pouring our treasury and what remains of our military arsenal into Ukraine . . . which is NOT an ally.

You forgot to say they are the only democracy in the middle east. Another fake claim.

They are more nearly that than any of the surrounding Islam dominated nations. So it's relative. More to the point . . . if you leave the Israelis alone then they leave you alone. They are not the nation that declared they are going to eradicate other people from this Earth . . . that honor goes to their surrounding Islamic nations.

I'm going to get serious with you. You won't believe it but it may plant a seed you might nourish if you see enough. I really don't blame you. The propaganda is immense and persuasive.

The Palestinians were leaving the Israelis alone before they invaded them in 1948.

Yes, the various Muslim countries stupidly declared invective against a superior enemy, in funding and equipment. Yet, if you pay attention, like I do, sometimes the quiet things get said out loud.

Don't play this as black and white. It's the lowest form of political debate and you're above it, by far.

I have researched the beginning of Israel as a modern nation, and I agree with you. The congregating Jews -- after WWII -- hardly entered their 'returned lands' with clean hands. They tossed native Palestinians out of their own homes and lands. But they did this with the blessings of both the United States and Great Britain and with France and Italy and everyone else looking the other way. Then history happened.

Thanks too, for being honest. I understand this is an emotional issue and I have sympathy for the innocent Israelis suffering in this. And the other side.

And I don't have a particular problem with nations being strong. I respect Israel in ways but don't play the eternal victim. It disgusts me.

Well when about five thousand rockets have been launched into their nation and then terrorists infiltrate and execute a thousand people and engage in a policy of deliberately raping teens and adult women and then parading their mutilated corpses through the streets and then abducting forty infants and murdering all of them and beheading half of them then it is reasonable to say that the entire nation of Israel has been victimized.
1 up, 1y
If there wasn't propaganda bullshit all the time, I might understand it. But if you want your claims to be believed, just proof or give it up, no more trust. It's far too late.

Haven't I tried to be respectful towards you? And you give me a Goebels level propaganda excersize.

Let us try again.

So now only half the forty have been beheaded?

C'mon. You see through this garbage.
1 up, 1y
This is the latest report. How much of it to believe is up to each individual unless the Israelis release the actual video recording of the corpses.
1 up, 1y
Now you're going to run?

You have to admit a decent debate can be fun. I've enjoyed it.

Okay, I agree. But that is the end result of asserting your dominance.

I'm still not understanding why Isreal is an ally. Because they claim it? I've already listed the ways they've f**ked us.

It goes back to the end of WWII and agreements made by the various victorious allies in agreement with the United Nations. As for why we are still allies, The Legislative Branch and Executive Branch have seen fit to keep the United States allied with them; and not enough citizens have been against the idea to move them to alter this arrangement. As for getting f**ked . . . history has long established that at various times that is one of the favorite hobbies of ALL allies. Mutual common interests generally dictate that the allies remain allies unless common interests radically change. So far that change has not occurred.

It actually goes back to WW1 and the Balfour declaration. But I don't blame you if you're unaware of that.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balfour_Declaration

But you can admit 'ally' is subjective so I can appreciate that.
4 ups, 1y,

I know about the Balfour agreement. I simply picked the ending of WWII as the engagement point. I was trying to simplify things rather than -- again -- teach a history class . . . being retired and all.

But, yes, ally is subjective -- even if there are treaties or other formal agreements -- and we all know that treaties are rarely worth the parchment they used-up when changing interests come into play.

Can't argue with that.

Isn't that convenient... There's always a reason why they can't support us. Why didn't they send $100's of Billions in "aid" like we always do for them?
1 up, 1y
they are broke
1 up, 1y
