In that last panel, it could just as easily be about the fact that our grid is unable to charge them. Yeah, it will become more robust, but that will only happen when money can be made from doing so. Actually it doesn’t make sense to a lot of Californians. That’s why they, at least the conservative ones, keep showing up in Tennessee.

The goal is easy to understand:

YOU: Worker bee. .

You will be provided with your basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter in exchange for labor.

You will only leave home to go to your designated (not chosen) labor facility.

You will take public mass transit to and from your designated labor facility.

You will shop for and receive delivery of food/goods/services at home using your digital credits.

You will be video monitored in your home, labor facility, and in the streets via biometric and eavesdropping capable cameras, drone surveillance, and geolocation tracking devices.

You will be controlled in every area of consumption by means of governmental control of your digital credit account.

You will remain "free" to leave your home at any time but only because you will be unable to do so for of the malevolent state sponsored rogues (their designated labor) doing you harm. The tragic and dramatic accounts of assaults and murders (that never happened) will be constantly disseminated daily via all forms of media.

You will remain "free" to travel only because you will be unable to do so.

You will not choose a mate and reproduce. All human reproduction will be via eugenically selected people based on the data from their Electronic Medical Record. These birthing agents will be designated this labor, pun fully intended.
