You stuck gold here!! I put this on my FB and just commented "Thoughts?". I had not formulated a response at the time but since then I have due to the comments and discussions. So far there has been almost 400 likes and almost 700 comments. I wrestled with this and argued that both took on the biggest moral issue of their time- segregation for King and abortion for Trump. I'd argue that Trump's actions in getting Roe V Wade overturned is greater in impact than the ending segregation. Why? Because abortion killed the most Black Americans in history - over 20 million since 1973. The first year without it, 66k less abortions were done. That's a lot of lives and the number will grow. If 1/3 of those 66k were black then he just saved 20k black lives which is 20k more than BLM saved. Thank you for the post and for those who want less black lives lost - You are welcome!!!
