UBI is communism in disguise.

Get a job, any job, and manage your money appropriately. It is that simple.

What is it with people and their lack of personal responsibility?

A sane reality, where people are valued they way nature values us, is a rare situation in human history. Obviously, pre-modern man did not want to waste each other's time or happiness for no good reason the way more "civilized" societies do so casually.

So, since natural law is ignored (to enhance investor returns), reality isn't "normal". And that's why kids do not need anyone to tell them "life is fair". Parents often ask their children who say, "it's not fair," who told them life was fair. It's a good question and the answer is they inherently know life is fair.

And the inevitable result of an imperfect system is a lot of people thinking, "it's not fair".

Nature would eat mankind if not for modern technology.

Nature created us to eat us, but we saved ourselves from it with technology?

Nature didn't create us, but needed to become savage to survive. If you didn't you died.

People who work multiple jobs still can’t afford rent or health insurance.

That is because they mismanage their money.

You can't properly manage your money when you're not making any to begin with.

How do you have multiple jobs and make no money?

Corporate price gouging and rental companies scalping houses off the market. That's how.

None of that explains how you work multiple jobs and get paid nothing.

How can you work multiple jobs and not get any money ?

At least he put some thought (although wrong) behind it, and was candid about how it would be funded (Euro-style VAT tax).

This is why I can listen to Andrew Yang or Bernie Sanders. They're not crazy or giant hypocrites. They're both admittedly socialists, so they say exact what I expect a socialist to say. But the Democrat "leaders" who say they support our Republic, but strongly support Communism and oppose the Constitution, I find hard to take.

Kind of the same with the ever-increasing minimum wages.

Minimum wage is the universal basic income. But what this is suggesting is a certain monthly stipend from the government in exchange for nothing except simply existing.

BS...a whole generation that wants to be handed whatever they desire without working.

How did student loan forgiveness work out for you? Get off your a$$ and get to work and pay your bills.

My student loans got forgiven because my college shut down too close to my graduation date. It went through the courts already. I get all my loan money back.

Why does it matter when it would literally change the lives of millions of Americans for the better?

What does this do that existing programs like EBT+cash, SNAP, WIC, EIC (earned income credit), etc. don't already? And people who are not on these programs don't need UBI. So what's the point?

It won't. Look at the welfare system. Just became generational idleness.

Idle people with money - what's that gonna do? Nothing good.

Like all the thousands in covid money was wasted by the recipients on big tvs. Nothing to show for it. Not even savings. Many people could have paid off their mortgages with the tens of thousands they received in handouts. But no, just blew it all.

If you work three jobs and CANNOT afford rent but you CAN afford to have internet in your home, you have just mismanaged your money.
