Big Willy Wonka Tell Me Again | TELL ME AGAIN HOW YOU PLAN TO END POVERTY LIVING ON A PLANET WITH LIMITED RESOURCES? | image tagged in big willy wonka tell me again | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Limit taxation to resource usage.

It's the oldest idea in economics - tax land ownership instead of labor and commerce. Everyone will have equal access to land and complete economic freedom. Plus, it rectifies the relationship between nature and society at the same time as the relationship between equality and freedom.

Here is where that fails.

It fails if your definition of success involves access to cheap labor. It succeeds if your definition of success is the end of cheap labor.

Well, here is another thing to consider. There will always be poor people, because there are people who do not want to work. Not because they are not capable, but because they like to be lazy and suck up after other people. Taxing is theft, so you can't get a good thing out of a bad thing. Bad things lead to more bad things. Here is a variable for you to consider, we live in a planet with limited resources, you do know what limited resources are correct? If we give land to everyone in the planet, there is not gonna be enough land to go around, that is why some people are just happy and fine living in apartments. Some people rather live in a place that is small and they do not have to manage, owning land takes a lot of labor to manage. Most people do not want to manage land.

The tax system rewards investors for owning everyone's daily source of life, land, as a price investment. We need equal access to land. The classical economists figured out the perfect economic system as soon as they investigated the field of study as a science. But their recommendation (tax only land ownership) has always been suppressed because it would free society. (And the people in charge prefer cheap labor.)

Call me dense but I cannot glean what you believe is the root cause of poverty.

Can you state it more plainly?

The tax system. The only way we can avoid the 99% paying the 1% for land (sleep), is to tax land ownership instead of everything else. Land will become cheap and labor will become expensive, the opposite of the way it is now.

Right now, land is expensive and labor is cheap, so most people are usually broke. But if we reverse the tax system, we reverse the effect. Everyone will gave plenty of money and free time.

🤔 I don't understand your reasoning.

All land is already taxed.

Ask anybody that owns some.

Expensive labor makes goods and services, including food, expensive.

Taxes aren't responsible for poverty. You have to have money to be taxed. The more you are taxed the more you have.

If you are poor you have not applied yourself properly. You have not made sound financial or life choices.

Poor people are the product of their own poor decisions.

"have" not "gave" in that last sentence.
