6/10 maybe at the very front of your house, try making the cactus two blocks tall instead of the max of three. try and cover up the sand with your choice of trapdoors. add some more foliage to the left of the house, and try to make use of that water by the stairs to make a sort of pond.

I added a bit of texturing to the pond floor (not visible in the image). Do you suggest dripleaf or lily pads for the pond? as for the stairs, I'm totally lost.

I do reccomend lily pads! That would make it better! For the stairs they look really good but if you wanted to get to the 'next level of building' gou could maybe like google minecraft stair designs or something.
