Tell that to the Rite-Aid store in downtown Pittsburgh (PA) that had over $40K in candy theft last year, mostly from kids just walking in and taking it. Now they lock the candy up. Yes, candy is locked up. At my local Walmart they lock up the .99 cent razor blades, the disposable kind, because they're not capable of preventing people from just putting things like that in their pockets.
Are you not aware that in places like SF, the cops won't even show up unless it's a theft of over $950? People walk in with garbage bags and just start grabbing things and there's nothing that the thieving employees you referred to can do to stop it. That's what's forcing these stores to close in the woke cities like SF.
