The National Socalists didn't crush Germany into obedience, they were given power... one little bite at a time. Turn the nation against each other first.... the haves from the have nots. The Jewish citizens from Christians. The city dwellers from the farmers. The rich from the poor. The immigrants from the native born. The sick from the healthy. Its easy. Think of it in another way. Can you drive 1,000 miles in one day? Probably not. But I bet you could easily drive 100 miles a day. Break up the journey into smaller bites, then deal with those bites individually. You still made the 1,000 mile journey right? Hitler's plan would never work against a unified Germany, but carving up the population by race, creed, religion, income, gender, you name it... well that changed the game entirely. Democrats are playing this game.
