A country is not successful if a majority of its population live paycheck to paycheck.
A country is not successful if they can’t house everyone.
A country is not successful if they can’t provide affordable healthcare for all its citizens.
A country is not successful if members of their population go hungry.
A country is not successful if poverty is increasing, not decreasing.

A country is successful if the majority earns more than enough to live.
A country is successful if the housing is affordable.
A country is successful if healthcare is affordable.
A country is successful if most people can eat.
A country is successful if poverty is decreasing.

By this criteria, successful countries are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia and Canada. For example, we in Calgary have high standards of living, access to affordable healthcare, good education, multiple organizations that provide affordable housing, ample food and enough money to live. Poverty is a problem, and so are gas/food prices, but we'll fix them eventually.

Tell me then, when has socialism ever worked?

You oft think that capitalism is terrible. It is, but is there anything better? No. You will never learn of the mistakes that previous communist countries have made.

Triggered is trying to change their narrative because they can't provide any evidence of a socialist country that has worked...

All the capitalist countries are noticing a rise in poverty while East Asia (China) and left-wing governments in South America are seeing poverty decrease. So yeah, I'm thinking socialism is better.

How so? And yes, maybe they are experiencing a rise in poverty, but how is that correlated to capitalism? What if that was just because of a change in market?

Capitalism necessitates poverty, its model is exploitation. Wealth trickles up under capitalism from the poorest in society to the richest elites.

What if we put a cap on the wealth you can have and redistribute it to the poor, thereby nescessitating that the larger and more successful a buisness gets, the more the workers are paid?

Wages aren’t keeping up with inflation. Businesses are making record profits while cutting hours and wages. But go off, I’m sure the poor are to blame as always.

The inflation started with Biden who doesn't seem like a capitalist to me.

We have very similar ideas, I think we should talk more about this.

Capitalism doesn't tax you on income...then sales...then property...then your vehicle...then the gas you put in it. Government does that.
Capitalism doesn't use massive zoning and permit and building regs to restrict housing, then brings in millions who need houses. Government does that.
Capitalism doesn't stop doctors and nurses opening high street walk-in centers for medical work like lasek. Government does that.
Capitalism doesnt give incentives for poor people to have children they cant afford. Government does that.

Capitalism requires government
