I remember people saying that over labeling it "China virus" and such but I don't remember that regarding the lab leak theory.... Not necessarily saying it isn't true, I'm just saying I don't remember it. Was that here or on Twitter or what?

Started with the politicians(Pelosi and/or people aligned with her way of thinking) saying people can't call it the China Virus.

Anyway calling a disease by its point of origin is not racist. It's so scientists and medical types will know where or what was the origin point of the disease.

Diseases throughout history have been named for its suspected region of origin. MERS for the Mediterranean, Zika for the Zika River area of Africa, Ebola etc. no one ever had a problem with it. Until the lefts blinging obedience to CCP propaganda. The Spanish flu purportedly did not start in Spain according to revisionist theory. The evidence presented about the China virus points to Wuhan and its institute of Virology which happened to be experimenting with the same viruses that became the pandemic.

The Spanish Flu got it's name from newspapers reporting that the virus' epicenter was in Spain- hence the name. One of the leading theories states that Haskell County, Kansas and Fort Riley Kansas were the true point of origin, with more than 500 soldiers falling ill with flu like symptoms, and later being sent to the front lines of World War One after they recovered- leading to subsequent outbreaks in Europe.

That is one of many unproven theories. Spain had uncensored news and was the first to report stories of it in their newspapers. The other countries were at war and didn’t have uncensored news. The Spanish called it the French flu because they thought it came to them from France. The idea it started on a military base in Kansas is one of the least credible. Though the first reported US case was there, it likely came over from a repatriated soldier who had been at the European front which is exactly where it most likely originated were sanitary conditions and cohabitation with animals in the trenches served as the likely environment to allow species jump of the virus. Some would say it was punishment for indulging in the evils and carnage of world war.
